Default Bulbo New Jersey

This plant has been giving me fits! Ive had 2 new growths that have rotted off. It is a small plant that is in seedling grade bark. Right now it has completed a new growth and has 2 more that are starting. I have it in bright indirect light on the window sill in my shower. I know it like lots of water and humidity. I have cut back on the water a little and let it dry slightly between waterings. Seems to be doing better. Would it do better in sphag? The medusae right next to it is going like mad. These are my first Bulbos. I grow pluerothallids mainly. So I am having to switch gears on culture alot here. I just dont want to kill them in the learning process.

Thanks, Scott

I agree with you on how frustrating Bulb. Jersey is. This is the secret though...more air circulation, less humidity (ie. get it out of your bathroom). Lighting is fine.

I figured this out after the fact. I no longer bother with this cross. The species Bulbos I now grow are so much easier.

How is this one doing? I had an unpleasant surprise with my B. dearei, where I have just the right balance of humidity and ventilation for the plant, but when it decided to grow a flower for the first time, it rotted out the bud.
