Default Bulbophyllum phaleonopsis

Hi all. New to Bulbophyllums. Will my B. Phaleonopsis “know” to right itself with the new growth pointing down like the rest? I want through all the effort to modify the basket to accommodate that downward growth habit. Now I’m wondering if I need to keep the basket in a normal orientation.
