Default Bulbophyllum maquilingense

This miniature is now flowering for me. It is only open during the day and closes at night. In the picture it has started to close!
For you that like orchid that smell this one does! Not much but a faint but distinct smell of ammonia is the closest i come up to.

Wow, awesome! (I dunno about the "fragrance" tho.)

Is it unusual for orchid blooms to open & close according to day/night? I've heard of that plenty with other flowering plants, but never before with orchids.

nice one although amonia is not one of my favorite smells
reminds me of my youth; when it was my job to cleanout the henhouse. yuk!
