Bulbo phalaenopsis

inherited a fairly mature plan from a friend who moved.
It was grown in fairly "deep shade". It has had some issues in the past but is clearly in "comeback" mode.

I have a shade house with 60% shade cloth. I have it set-up inside and covered with some remnant screening from a screen door. I think that should be enough to help it harden/adjust to the light levels in my shadehouse.

Any other suggestions/recommendations?

I would write to Jay Pfahl at orchidspecies.com and ask him how he grows it in the Keys, or whether he does.

I did speak with Bill Thoms about this species. He said it really prefers cooler nights and warmer days, and is a C4 plant. That means it opens its pores at night. When it's too hot day and night it can't breathe. He suggested in my climate watering it in the evening so there would be evaporative cooling at the roots. He grew them in shallow baskets or pots, with moss and large bark.
