I could not find any threads on this great little Bulbo so here is one.

This is a popular plant, super common and easy to grow and it makes neat flowers that completely defy the size of their inflorescence.

mine has had 5 spikes already this year and shows no sign of stopping. i have not seen a complete circle of the flowers yet, perhaps the plant needs some more size.

i grow it in a small basket lined with coir, filled with loose sphag and rotten cedar from old baskets

These are great plants. They're easy to grow in most intermediate or warmer conditions, and bloom in Phal light. They need a lot of water so they're excellent for people who water too much.

For those new to Bulbophyllums, this kind was once a separate genus called Cirrhopetalum, now lumped into Bulbophyllum. The Cirrhopetalums generally have no fragrance. They need lots and lots of water, pretty much every day. They can make multiple inflorescences from each growth, one after another for months. They can continue making new growths all year if it's warm enough. Each "ray" of the inflorescence is one actual flower.

Great tip ES

For those not in humid climates, you can make a humid basket by using coir and rock wool in a basket and keeping it WET.

Anybody who wants to learn about Bulbos should get Bill Thom's book Bulbophyllums: From A to Why? at bulbophyllums.com. He's the one who names hybrids and awarded clones variants of Adoribil.
