NOT your nest, buddy! by J Solo, on Flickr

in is a huge 18" raft with a LOT of room so i doubt they will hurt the plant but i admit they scared the absolute hell out of me and i almost put my head through the roof

Gamble's quail and mourning doves nest in pots here. I withheld water from the Cochemiea poselgerii I showed before because some native burrowing bees made nests in the soil.

Don't you dare put chicken wire up! Birds gotta have good nesting places. Not like she made the nest out of the plant itself, or on top of it. Or ate it.

Save that aggression for the iguana!

I have some Catts that have grown toward one side of the pot, leaving some empty space in the pot...but not that much... I have had one squished by a dove who thought that is was a good nesting spot... I do put empty net pots over bare spots where I don't want "company" ... I even supplied a basket with moss but no plant (nice and comfortable) in the same area as encouragement... they ignore that one.

WW, my parents straightened me right out. (They are birders and tonight me a lot of bird love) and they EXPLAINED how it was my responsibility bc of all the nesting places man has taken....I stopped listening and just gave in
