FWIW...I've a small plant in s/m, 3-4" net pot sitting on edge of growlights. Room not as warm as I think it would like(~65 deg) but it has bloomed for me. It has a friend even smaller that I plan on adding to pot at the right time. Fert. is minimal now(MSU). Good luck.

HA! no way...this is one of two purchases i have made from them over several years and i have still never seen an orchid better packed...you could have drop kicked the package across the room and not a leaf would have moved...

I've had one for a couple of years and it has never bloomed for me (though the vegetative growth was ok), that was living in the cool coastal California. I have it in a shallow bonsai pot with an airy mix of sphagnum and charcoal. However, I just moved to Sacramento this year and it currently has two new growths, I'm hoping it likes the hot weather here! Currently growing it on the windowsill, I may move it to my basement grow tent next year for the humidity if I can't get it to bloom, though the temperature may be too low.

Can't wait to see yours in bloom! the flowers are so incredible.

Good luck!!! How much light are you giving it?

I have almost all my bulbos in way higher light than is recommended and they all are quite happy....unlimited moisture helps everything

It's in a fairly bright window with a variety of other plants that are thriving. Gets some (maybe 2 hours) of direct sun per day and the rest is indirect. I was wondering if I was giving it too much light, but it doesn't seem to mind. Good to hear that yours does well with higher light levels.

oh yeah, in fact, i divided mine a year or two ago to mount a few of the pbulbs….i ignorantly hung the mount with my others which were mostly schoms and catts!!!!

when i realized it might have been a BIIIIIIIT too bright there i had lost a tip of a leaf to burn but there were four new growths?!?! so, i think i went too far but the plant really does like light, i anecdotally think all the bulbos do as long as you do it slow and keep it either reduced or dappled light

basket of fun

four simultaneous spike is a MAJOR WHOOHOO for me. this plant is one of those (this, Schom. grandiflora, and Brass. nodose) that really made this from a hobby to a passion.

i see two more spikes and a suspicious bulge in a sheath but, given how short lived the flowers are i suspect four is max show for this bloom! I'll take it!!!

So I keep going on the lath house go try to get a scent and there are neos and a prosc. Cochleata also on bloom so I can’t really get the scent nailed but it is quite strong and somewhere near an aged Gardena in chlorine, or more accurately, an old bouquet of Gardena and frangipani in a tool with an indoor swimming pool

Lol. But seriously....

Woohoo is right, i love this species. Nice job. I grow it in low Cattleya light if that makes sense. Water daily but potted in mix that dries quickly. High humidity, warm temps, fertilize with teeny bit of fertilizer (~25ppm N) with every watering, with a good rinse every few weeks. Spikes up every year in early autumn, but blooms finally pop out anywhere from November to February for me.
