Rooting an Orchid

Hello!!!

Two weeks ago I received an floral arrangement that included two orchids. The florist, of course, cut the roots off. So all I have are flowering stems.

Am I dreaming to think that by putting the cut stems in water, I can get them to root so that they can be planted?

Presuming you have just flowers stems with flowers, I would say no. I am not aware of any orchid that will root from a flower spike.

I agree with Ross, but don't I wish! Otherwise, I'd have an orchid collection to rival a botanical garden!
