Hi guys.
It’s been a while since I posted anything but this plant has had me wondering for a while already about it’s well being so to say. When I first bought it it had a good root system but I like to repot all my newly acquired plants and the roots it had kind of died. It did produce new growth and those look like they got new roots. You can see them on the picture. The problem is out of three new growths only one is developing well. The other two stopped growing. One is a tiny weeny one just peeking from its older pbulb. The other one is a bit bigger but has pleated leaves. It’s growing in ceramide in the roots and sphagnum moss on top. I water it when sphagnum is near dry. About every 5-6 days now. Temperatures are in mid 60’s now. Humidity in the 30’s. I water with 1/4 strength 20-10-20 fertilizer once a month after thoroughly watering the plant (I water by submerging the pot). I am afraid to fertilize more often because its leaves were turning black and dying off and fertilizing less has helped retain the rest of the leaves. My question is why do I have this slow growth and pleated leaves? What can I do to optimize its growth? Thank you

Pleated leaves are a sure sign of underwatering. I don't think you can overwater ceramide or leca.

I don’t have this one, but I’ve had some that have sulked like this. For mine moving from a coarser bark to a finer bark, or moving from a solid pot on the ground to a hanging mesh pot have made the difference. If water and temperature don’t work, try playing with the media and pot. Once I hit on a set-up that my plants liked, the turnaround was rapid and pretty dramatic.

Sounds like a good plan 😉 thanks for the idea
