Hi All

Thank you all once again for taking the time to answer my questions (concerns?). This basic advice about watering, feeding, temperature and light I am sure is going to set me up for success. As you all have slightly different approaches and conditions it also tells me not to worry too much about every little detail. I shall report back in the next year from my orchid emporium, if everything goes well. Thank you Bob.
PS for Ray. When I wrote "do I need to take it out on a regular basis and leave it for some time to enable air circulation?" I meant taking the plastic pot out of the ceramic one as I assume air does not flow well in the cul de sac of a 'no hole' pot. Cheers.

Hah! Got ya!

Certainly removing it from the solid pot helps, but probably not all that much, as most of the air infiltration into the medium is from the top surface.
