I haven't seen any new roots on this rescue yet and most likely be a while before I do see any. The old roots must still have a bit of life in them to be able to plump the lead bulb up. My house is fairly dry also even with two humidifiers running so moving it out of the more humid tank to house air might have to wait until the growth is a bit larger.
It must be a survivor since it was sitting in the store un-watered and neglected for more than a month. I am surprised that it is showing even doing this much improvement in, for an orchid, this short amount of time.
