Happy New Year!

I have officially run out of Tupperware. What do you use to soak your various sized orchids?

As in S/H or just to water? I use whatever fits the root system. This could be a large mixing bowl or anything in an assortment of containers I've repurposed... I always have an eye out for quart yogurt containers, biscotti containers etc. My mounts get soaked in a dishpan in the sink.

I went to Smart and Final and picked up various plastic cups, deli cups, and margarine sized containers that accommodate my pots.

I use containers that food comes in. Butter and salsa containers, mixed nut containers from Costco and my neighbor gets sherbet in large containers from the grocery store that she gives me. I don't drink milk, but if you get some in the plastic jugs just cut the tops off. I do this with soda and water bottles. I usually let the soda bottles soak for several days with water and then use them. I don't really know if this step is necessary but I do it. I have a large assortment of containers. After using them I bleach and save them until needed again.

I have large sized cool whip containers, many soup containers because my husband and I order Pho at least once per week. What I am looking for now are larger containers that will accommodate larger sized Phals that are in bloom and some of my other larger sized orchids. The soup containers are too snug for most of what I have and most of the Tupperwares are short. I guess this is a quest everyone is always on!

No offense but your search parameters weren't that clear. Look at Costco. Especially biscotti and the like. I also use an 8 c pyrex measuring cup.

I found some nesting food storage containers at the Dollar Store that do well for larger pots.
