ATTN: EXPERIENCED GROWERS!

I just wanted to take a moment and give a shout out to all you experienced (and maybe not so experienced) growers on here that have taken the time from their day to respond to mine and other beginners' threads. I feel like I speak for so many other beginner members, as well as other nonmembers who are just viewing relevant threads, when I say, thank you for taking time away from your plants and busy lives to help us successfully grow orchids too! This week I have personally been shown so much kindness and patience all while feeling like I am not being judged for my newbieness! I have learned so much from you guys already as I am sure so many others have too! I love feeling like others are right there cheering me on in my orchid endeavors and wanting to see me become an excellent orchid grower too! All too often orchids seem to grab your heart and mind and run with them leaving beginners jumping into something before fully realizing what they have gotten into and it seems like all of you have this never ending patience at helping us with these struggles! I for one have become a better grower due to all of you sacrificing the time to help me learn as I am sure others have too! My hope is one day I too will be an experienced grower and I can help other beginners the way you all have helped me!

In addition, Thanks to the admins of this board for keeping such a wonderful resource up and running!!

As an experienced grower, I will say "thank you", but will add that even as such, I learn stuff here all the time. Orchid growing is a long-term quest for knowledge.

A "stupid question" (there ain't no such thing) has often gotten me thinking about an aspect of growing I hadn't considered before, so leads me to more research.

I will give one piece of advice, though: use paragraphs. It makes reading a post far easier!

Yes, this board would not exist were it not for the kind and generous experienced orchid growers who offer their heartfelt advice to all who come here. There is so much great information available, just for the asking.

Also, the newbies should realize how vital they are to the board, as well. Kind of like a school would not exist if there were only teachers and no students.

And of course I'm also grateful to the administrator of this board for keeping such a valuable resource up and running online. The Orchid Board is unique. There is nothing else like it out there. I hope it will be around for a very long time.

Although my expertise is in the Cymbidium Alliance and I spend my time there when needed, I often drop in on the Beginner side of the Board. I learn something almost every time I do.
