Hi all!
I just went yesterday to the NY Botanical Gardens' Orchid Show...FANTASTICALLY beautiful installation!
Anywho...tho pretty pricey, I just couldn't help bringing a couple little guys home with me. Dendrobium (yellow chinsai x unicum) which has 3 canes carrying 10 buds, and a new lead. Also, Sarcochilus (sweet heart 'martha' x fitzheart 'red') which is in bloom and has two growths. They are both just too cute.
's below!
I've got a pretty good idea of what the Sarc needs, and am hoping that since it's a hybrid it won't be too tricky. But I'm unsure about which cultural group the Dendro falls in. It currently has only one leaf on it, so I'm guessing it may be a winter-deciduous. Any advice on either would be much appreciated.
Cheers, yvan
