I have not sprayed any insecticide on my new reconstituted (small) orchid collection (resumed collecting about 1.5 years now)and was happy to see that I am getting some help from mother nature.
When I was growing orchids in south FLA, had to from time to time indulge in orthene , mostly for thrips and scale.
Thank you Lady Bug for helping out.

BTW, the plant is BLC Hsinhying Willette #15 and the picture does not do the true color justice, it is a very rich yellow and am very pleased with plant.

When I bring my plants outside for the Summer, I buy ladybugs and release them into my orchid grow space. They are great!

Beautiful bloom! I'm always happy to see ladybugs in the house. They've been a bit scarce this year, though, compared to other years. In fact, your post has me thinking, and I don't know if I've seen a single one in the house this fall.
