Default Recycling an old pot

Due homage paid on the demise thanks to a badly damaged plant received online.whate are the possible options for the left behind pot?
Thorough wash and application of bleaching powder disinfection and recycle or
Cleanse in scalding water or
Easiest ,trash it and get over with it ?

Clean, soak in water containing chlorine bleach or some other disinfectant, rinse.

For plastic pots I thoroughly wash to remove organic debris then soak in a 10 percent bleach solution. For organic material like wood I bake them for 15 minutes or so at 250 degrees Fahrenheit if I feel sterilization is necessary.

I clean plastic pots with soap and water. Then I immerse them in a microwave safe pot and nuke the lot for a minute.
