Repotting Phalaenopsis Female
Default Repotting Phalaenopsis

I recently ordered some Phalaenopsis and they arrived in great shape, but they came with a notice not to repot for 30 days or severe damage to the plant may occur. This is the first I’ve heard of a waiting period.

They’re in moss which isn’t my preferred media and it doesn’t look like they’ve been repotted recently.

Is there a rational for waiting? I’m not in a particular rush to repot them, but I do usually repot most new acquisitions that come in moss within 30 days.
