I'm hoping to get some help regarding my Phalaenopsis. I've had this orchid for over 2 years and it has flowered several times. For the last 6 months though, it has been without floweres. Recently, at the top of the stem, there seems to be new growth-- but it looks like roots. Is this normal? How should I treat them? thanks
Thanks for the encouragment-- but what should I expect to happen next? Will it keep producing roots at the top of the stem-- or will I begin to see new flowers?
Also, the same plant is loosing one of it's large leaves. In the last couple of days it has turned yellow. Should I clip it off?
Is the dieing leaf on the bottom, that is, is it one of the oldest leaves?
By stem, do you mean the spike, where the flower buds form? If so, its time to raise the Keiki alert!
