How to choose a slab for schoenorchis scolopendria flasklings?

I just acquired a couple of new flasklings of s.scolopendria, and would appreciate input on the subject of slabs for this.
I'm in coastal Connecticut, and my conditions here are cool and dry during the winter, so I'll have to devise an enclosure to produce the higher humidity and warmth that this species requires, especislly over the winter. (I do have a large sophronitis cernua that has thrived in these cool/dry conditions for the past 15 years.)
I have cork bark available, and can easily use pine or oak to mount the new flasklings if these are preferable? Would it be a bad idea to incorporate a couple of strands of sphagnum moss into the new slab, considering the humidity requirements?

If possible, it might be helpful to contact the vendor who sold you the flask. Andy of Andy's orchids might also be able to help you as he sells this. He is really nice. I just email him with any questions I have about orchids and he usually calls me when he has a chance (he is very busy). Another source of help might be the old owners of J&L as they grew quite a few miniatures and have probably done and seen everything.

I have no experience with this orchid. It is extremely difficult to establish seedlings from flask to mount unless you have very high relative humidity (75% plus) and can water several times per day.

I wouldn't use too much moss on this species. I haven't grown it from flask, but it seems to do better if it is kept drier. So if you do use moss, you might want to remove it after a couple months. I killed one when I was watering at the same rate as other mounted orchids. In the winter I water it once every 4-6 days while I water other mounted orchids every other days.

It does well in the same environment as C. cernua.

If you are talking about wood of pine (not bark), it probably won't last for long. So Cork is probably better. I use Cedar shingles for most of my mount.
