What pot for post-compot seedlings?
Hi everyone,
So I have some compots of phals, phrags, and paphs that should be planted out into their own separate pots, but the question is what size to use? I have seen Hausermann's uses the 2 inch square (2"x2"x2") pots for phal seedlings growing on the benches. Would these work for the phrags and paphs too? Or should they be in something a little deeper like a 2" rose pot (2"x2"x3.25")? Or can everything be put in the rose pots?
Ideally, I'd like to minimize the number of different pot types to buy, but open to suggestions!
Thanks!

Hausermann sells tiny seedling Catts and Phals in the shallow pots, and slippers in the deep pots. The slipper seedlings I've bought from them are rooted to the bottoms of those taller pots.

Bill, I believe you're overthinking it.
There is no set rule. Use pots that will accommodate the root system of each individual, and allow you to give them the care they need.

Thanks everyone! And you are completely right, Ray. I was overthinking it at this point. I am so new to flasks and compots and wanting them to succeed, the basics became clouded.

I got in a bind once, with too many ex-flask seedlings, and ended up using styrofoam cups from the Dollar Store.

Oh, that's a great idea! That may be the solution I go with after I use up what I have!
