Yellowing phal leaves?
Default Yellowing phal leaves?

I bought a phal similar to a bellina from an orchid show in March. It was planted in sphagnum moss, I replanted it a few weeks after. The roots looked alright kinda, most looked shriveled. I put it into some orchid bark and was only watering it once a week. After the flowers died, one of the top leaves started to yellow and eventually fell off and now one of the back leaves is starting to do the same. I haven't noticed any new leaves at the top of the crown. Any advice??

Fresh bark does not retain moisture long, so it's possible it's not getting enough water - tho losing leaves from the top first, it's possible crown rot ? Are you able to post any photos?

Could either of the orchids in question have gotten sun burned? Do the crowns look healthy (any black rot)? How do the roots look?

Sun burning, crown rot, or a lack of viable roots could all be potential culprits. I’d skim the Phal abuse thread sticky and the sticky on using skewers to monitor water levels and see if anything rings a bell. If lack of viable roots is a problem the skewers will really help in learning to get the watering regime right in order to maintain a healthy root system. I usually try to be generous with the watering after going from moss to bark, but it seems to be a fine line to avoid overdoing the water.
