It is difficult for me to get to the store. I do not have a car or even a bicycle. My nearest store of any kind is a 20 minute walk each way. And coordinating shopping with my other activities is a nightmare in logistics because the bus stop is a 10, 20, or 35 minute walk, depending on the time of day and bus schedule. Becoming comfortable with driving is becoming a priority for me.

Since I have Amazon Student Prime, I will be getting the spray bottles either tomorrow or Friday. Also I have a greater selection.

As far as dealing with the orchids, yes, I am most likely overthinking. It is a strong tendency in me. In fact, I am often so exhausted by my overthinking that I become too tired to do anything.

But since a pseudobulb was rotting, I speculate that there is likely a higher than normal amount of microbes around.

And I soaked much of the greenery too last night. I really thought it would dry out quickly this morning, but it did not.

Just pot up the plants in the media of your choice. I think you will do more damage with the newspaper. Place the plants in a bright shade location indoors with good ventilation. Plants in the wild get wet!

If you want to spend extra money, buy some seaweed supplement.

My apologies, plantluvver. Living in the country, it's easy to assume everyone has a car. My bad, no offense was intended.

No, I did not take offense. I have ADD and I DO overthink things and get overwhelmed.

I have not driven in over a decade, and feel very uncomfortable with it and avoid thinking about it. But it is about time I adjust to my new location! This summer I plan to go for driving lessons. (I seem stuck in the contemplation stage right now.)

Roots grow back especially now. Winter is when most people mess up and lose their plants. Let it get as much sun as you can (read the care instructions for how much) water, and allow in a windy area if possible. (LOL I have Amazon student prime as well! I am getting a second master's degree so I can be a community college teacher (in 2 subjects).) Best!!!

Wonderful! I hope you find teaching rewarding. I am taking non-credit classes, but I do have a student email address and ID. I did not see a requirement that I needed to be working toward a degree.

This summer, I plan to not overload myself with classes. I also hope to get over my fear of driving and look for a car.
