Nice paph! With the warm growers (mottled leaves) I bring them back inside when fall temps start...sooner than many others. I attempt to let them not experience lower than 55 degrees for more than an hour or so at night. They also require less light than the cold growers. If a phal likes the conditions, this one will enjoy same.
I've grown cymbidium in S/H for last ten years or so, as that works best for me. Otherwise I'd never water them often enough. I leave them outside until threat of first frost. If it's a one-time frost, I'll haul them onto enclosed porch or throw a blanket over the rack they're on overnight, then continue to leave them out.
The Cymb. stay in my basement under a light until they are just starting to spike, then I bring them into house temps and wait for the show. They take up a lot of real estate, but the length of bloom time is well worth it.
And if you figure out how to stick to a budget at an orchid show/sale, please let me know.
