Once a week it gets a full root soak for a 1/2 hour with water that was at 25ppm N for my other plants, with an additional 1/8 teaspoon of the msu fertilizer, knowing vandas like more fertilizer. The vase it is in holds around 4 cups of water. Once a month, Inocucor and kelpmax (tablespoon of each per gallon) is added for the root soak. Since I've switched to this culture, the roots have exploded and it produces the sweet sap like a maple tree in spring. It has yet to bloom but I know that up until about 6 months ago, it was not getting nearly enough light. I grow indoors in Michigan, windowsill, no supplemental light.
