Wanted: Divisions of 2 Oldie but Goodie Cattleyas
Hi everyone,
I'm trying to find Slc. Deborah Off, any and all clones, and Sl. Psyche. (I know, Cattleya Deborah Off, etc. I'm stubborn, and I liked the old way better)
These older crosses aren't offered by orchid nurseries anymore, but I hope if I knock on enough doors, I'll find someone who's growing one big enough to divide.
If you tell two friends, then they'll tell two friends, and so on, and so on....
I'm going to call Waldor, too.
Many thanks
Beth

I get to Waldors somewhat regularly as they're only 1hr. away but David Off would probably be your best contact.

Good luck with your quest!
I was lucky that Hausermann's brought back the Lc. Mini Purple 'Blue Hawaii' when I was desperately searching for one a few years ago.

Thanks for the encouragement, fellow orchid fanatics!
I am casting in all directions, and will be calling David Off on Thursday when he gets back to the greenhouse.

I just read this great article about the Off Family and their business. It mentions the orchid for which you are searching.

Sl. Psyche was a great minicatt. Had one but lost it over a decade ago. Would love to have that one again. A great vibrant red mini.
So often the old hybrids disappear in favor of "trendy" new chids that often aren't any real improvement over the old ones.
