This poor Dendrobium has needed to be mounted since I got it. It was missing most of the media in its pot LOL.

I finally got around to mounting it. The mount is made of a few cedar rounds glued together. Sphagnum moss beneath the roots and fishing line tied over everything to hold it together.

Mostly I just had to get the ugly growers pot out of my terrarium XD Couldn't look at the ugly thing anymore.

Very creative idea. I mount little, to hard to keep watered.

Nice. I've got some ideas for "unique mounts":
-Miniature orchids mounted to a piece of bark, just literally one piece of bark. Or a small stick.
-Mounted to pine cones
-Mounted to a Nepenthes, would be interesting
-Miniatures mounted onto a pencil!
-Mounted onto a door.
I've got to try those!

Yeah I found that too with the ones that aren't in terrariums. This one goes in a very humid terrarium, so I'm not worried about it as much. Everything in there is mounted.

How do you keep mold from growing on the wood, since you must water so much more?
