Default Should I stake a drooping Miltoniopsis?

The stems on my Miltoniopsis are drooping so I tried to stake them where the bend is and think I caused some damage. If I let them droop, they look like they'll break. Obviously my first and not sure what to do. Please help!

i do think those spikes need some support where they are bending sharply. You should gently tie the spike to a stake that is closer to the spike than the ones that you have - a plant tie above and below the bend will lend support. Do try to anticipate what you going to accomplish before you actually do it, and move slowly and carefully.

I have used bread ties, garden wire and clips.
just don't tie it too tight.

More than 2 blooms stake. This is mine with 3 spikes unstaked. Adds to "waterfall" effect. I use butterfly clips.
Clip just beneath the natural bend.

Butterfly clips are small plastic spring clips, like a miniature hair clip. They are molded in the shape of a butterfly or dragonfly. They are often used to stake orchid spikes.
