Default root health

I repotted my #2 phal (I think) today. I've repotted another phal that was in terrible shape. Seems to be hanging on. #2 excellent roots upon inpection I think anyway. My question is one of the larger roots looked like there was a bulb inside the root oblivious larger rounder that the root itself same color as the root. I really regret not taking a pic when I had a chance. Could it be water that pooled up in the root? Clueless Thank you

A picture would be of great help. Of the plant and the roots. Without a pic it's very difficult to know what's going on.

I don't think so. Like greenpassion say's it's hard to know for sure without a picture. If the plant is healthy I wouldn't worry about it.

Generally, you have to make five posts before you can post pics - so you have another couple to make. Reply to a few other posts - that's the easiest way.

I was able to add a photo on my very first post here. Once you have your photo, open it in any desktop photo viewing software prior to posting. It might help avoid the sideways photo annoyance so many have written about!

The root is not a water-balloon. Many phals have a kind of thickening at the end of roots, some look like tape-worms. Sometimes if there is a big piece of bark or rock in front of the root, and it can't get over or around it will give up and stop.
