Why does my orchid produce nodes instead of buds?

My tetraspis is finally pushing out the buds from the bracts! It’s also forming another spike by its side. I Guess the reason why it kept on blasting it’s buds before they can grow out of the bracts was due to insufficient light. About 2 weeks ago when the existing spikes had already started growing and forming the bracts, I bought a full spectrum led grow light and placed it under and now it’s finally spiking and developing the buds
