Ya I thought Hausermann's had them also. I thought I saw a pink one this winter. Sometimes J&L has them too. Some where I saw a pink one. Now I'm going to have to go have a look. Seattle Orchids could also be where I saw it.

Another place that seems to always have them is Santa Barbra Orchid Estate. I think they have all 3 colors.

Does anyone have any suggestions on where I could look for one, maybe some other nurseries?
There are lots of colors of these. Which one are you looking for? I saw a white one recently.

Thank you all for your help and suggestions! I still haven't found one that's available, but I've learned of several new (to me) nurseries, which is great. I'll just have to keep an eye on them until things are back in stock.

Orchid Whisperer, I prefer the reds, but I like all the colors.

I purchased a Twinkle at a show, but everyone had the exact same one--no reds, just white and maybe there was a yellow?. I think Hausermann's only has one or two right now? And (I have also been looking) I wasn't able to find any on the Santa Barbara Estate site.

Is this a seasonal thing, or is it more of a "what's in fashion" thing? For those of us wanting to get "tried and true easy" orchids, it can be a bit frustrating....because by the time home growers know that it's a good starter orchid, the nurseries have moved on. I'm not shy about asking when nurseries will have something in stock, or why it isn't...sometimes that helps, because they do want to make a sale and have you come back. One place where I shop always restocks on what sells well, so they do follow customer trends.

It's just the way it is. If you want a specific pair of shoes...you'll never find them.

The harder it is to find, the more I want it. I wonder if we will see a price increase on Twinkles this year?

I just purchased a red, yellow and white Twinkle at Gold Country Orchids today. He has quite a few if anyone is interested.

I'm so jealous you got all 3 varities!! I'm emailing them to see what they have in stock. Do you know if one color has more fragrance over another? I'd love all 3 though!

One thing to keep in mind when looking for a particular hybrid... popular ones do get mericloned, creating identical (or nearly identical) plants, but the process is limited. Mutations creep in, and clones of clones may not be as good as the original. I know that Onc. Sharry Baby "Sweet Fragrance" is like that. The older ones in collections tend to be more fragrant, with better color, than some bought recently. And if a cross is remade (either with the same parents, or different parents of the same species or hybrid) the offspring may be very different than the popular one. (One can't duplicate children!) So along with the "fashion" part (growers have to guess what is going to be popular 3 or 5 or 7 years hence) there are also the limitations in trying to duplicate (clone) a living organism.
