Phal Keiki...What to do? Female
Question Phal Keiki...What to do?

I do not know what to do with this keiki on the mother plant as it grows in the center of the plant...odd!
The mother plant has 2 large leaves and the keiki grows at the place where a new leaf should grow...I can't explain it better...I don't seem to be able to post a photo...
At this time the keiki has 6 roots, 3 of them are about 2" 1/2. What should I do?
Thank you for your suggestions.

My Phal. is describe as such...

Phal. Bright Peacock "Sweet Fragrance) HCC/AOS (Golden Peoker 'E.S.' JC/AOS x Yungo Princess Gelb)

From the photo and your description I think the growth l3ead in the Phal's stem stopped, kind of on the same lines as when a Phal grows what's called a "terminal spike". The plant then essentially produced the keiki much as a Phal with a terminal spike would produce a keiki, as a means of continuing the viability of the plant overall. I would leave it alone, allow it to grow, and only attempt to separate it once the parent plant begins to die.

Thank you so much, jkofferdahl,
I'll continue to treat it with care and wait until the mother plant passes away.
