Wait. It'll grow roots when it gets warmer.
There's no way to force roots to grow.

Hi my roots are growing just nicely now.
Soon I will have to pot it.
I want go the lecca balls route, it seems easy as I can easily view the roots and the glass would let light get to the roots.
Is there a tutorial on how to do this?
Do I have to use fertilizer?
Also, some of my roots are growing white. I dip it in water and it is still white. What gives?

The nub looks like a new root growing. They often come from that spot. Good job keeping it alive.
Not all Phal species have shiny leaves. And some people polish the leaves when they take photos.
