Question Grow lights for Phals

What type of grow lights should I use for these beauties? I realize they do not like direct light on them so any advice on how to use them would also be helpful. I am going to start a room in my walk-in live-in basement. TIA

How large of an area do you plan to light for Phals? Are there any windows in your area?

Basement has no windows. I have a back room area that was a home theater room that I no longer use. I was thinking that would be a great place to start my orchid room. My house is a big chalet with almost all windows on the front. They have been in the main room (between the windows) They seem to love it there but I am expanding and hope to one day in the near future to have a greenhouse

Joy- what is the size of the area to be illuminated?

John's recommendation might be great for phals over maybe a 6' x 4' area, or greater, but if you're illuminating a smaller area that would be overkill (or a killer, if they're close enough to fry them).

Oh thank you for this post. It is probably a bit smaller than that.
