Default Stalled spikes...

Hi all. Got an interesting possible problem here. Although many of my phals are in bloom or just about to be in bloom, there are several are double spiked, but the second Spike on each of these plants seems to be stalled. The first spike to come has buds opening up while the second one beside it is still in the stage of early budding. Is this normal? I've never come across this before. The first one that I had to bloom this year is one that I call Twin Towers. Each of its spikes came out at the same time and it's all bloomed out evenly. These other ones that I'm talking about are way out of sync with each other. On the same plant I have one Spike with opening flowers and the other Spike as I said in early budding stage. They have been this way for quite some time. Is this familiar to anyone?

Oh. Good. I've been a little bit concerned that maybe the spikes will just stall and eventually die.

I corrected the typo in the title.

And I agree, uneven spike growth speed is not rare. Why it happens, I don't know.

I'm glad to hear that's normal, too. It sounds to me like you will be lucky enough to enjoy blooms for a lot longer than usual, with the second spikes taking longer to mature than the first ones.
