Well, to the question. I don't know what this orchid is, but I see some black dieback at the top of the stem of the plant near the center of the photo. It looks to be something in the Vanda alliance with very short leaves alternating on the stem (distichous.) Is that the plant?

Is the plant supposed to be this wet? I'm asking because I don't know.

The dead spot was caused from repotting/remounting...it’s showing new growth and seems to enjoy daily misting and air flow
