Inherited many orchids, need advice and identification help!

Roberta, thanks for the advice! I took it out of the shallow thing and put it in a small pot with LECA at the bottom and med/sm orchiata with charcoal and LECA mixed in above. I think the pot is 2in. You can see it next to the other phrag, which I had repotted into a pot that was a similar size to the pots they had both been in before I repot. Do you think the new pot is large enough?

I would be more inclined to use a regular orchid pot, put at least 1 inch (maybe 2) of inorganic material (rocks or LECA), then pot in small bark. Place it in a dish/pan of water at a height no more than those stones. You'll get steady moisture in the pot through capillary action, but the roots will still get air. If they are happy, eventually they will grow down through those stones, possibly out the holes - so they do love water, but on their terms.

I agree, especially with the needs/wants a deeper pot. That's why a cowboy boot worked so well for me. That's exactly how I pot my phrags, but you sure do a better job of explaining it than I did.

I left the lights on for too long a few times and now a few of the orchids seem to have gotten a bit burned.

I've placed the burned ones further away from the light, I'm being more diligent about limited light duration to 12-13 hours, and I'm supposed to finally receive a light timer from Amazon tomorrow, but I also think a fan might be useful. Does anyone have a recommendation for a fan that would create a soft breeze? I'm currently using a Vornado fan pointed away from the orchids at the wall perpendicular to the plants and hoping that the indirect air movement will do some good. When I do this it lowers the temp by 2-3 degrees on the hygrometer so it must be doing something, but I don't have much experience with this. I'm also running a ultrasonic humidifier so it's a balance between giving them air movement and giving them humidity.

The indirect fan is sufficient. Air circulation is what you're trying to achieve, not rustling foliage.

Duration of lighting shouldn't be a cause of burning. The problem is more likely plants too close to warm light fixtures. Aiming a fan at the plants would prevent this, but so would moving the plants back from the lights.
