So, when doing watering today, I noticed this on my oncidium that came frozen a couple weeks ago. It looks like an old mark since the leaf near door has it too. It's dry to the touch.
As you can see, I sheared a lot off that was mushy from the freezing. Are these just abrasions from when the plant was much fuller? Is this something to worry about?
Sorry if this is a total no brainer. I tired searching and didn't see anything quite like it.
The dry spot at the top of the pseudobulb represents old damage. It is nothing to worry about. The whitish spots are mineral or other solid deposits. They might have come from water minerals, dried fertilizer, pesticides or fungicides. A lot of plants arrive with this sort of mineral spotting. It isn't anything to worry about.
