Camille
Because of Seca's reply, I will not be pursuing this in order to maximize the number of viewers who can easily view my posts.
But thank you anyway for your response. Other viewers may wish to use it.

I wonder what's going on with this thread. I received an E-mail about a new post to this thread by Camille, and the forum thread listing also shows she was the previous last person posting, but I see no post by her to this thread.
Then I received another E-mail saying Shoreguy had posted, but there is no new post from him.
And just now I received another E-mail sayng Mountaineer370 just posted, but I don't see that post, either.

I have never posted photos to this or any other forum because of fears that they will turn out as mentioned in this thread, just too large to view without a lot of scrolling, which I know nobody likes to do. Or the opposite problem, too tiny. I do not know how to resize photos or what size they should be. Does the forum here just do that for you automatically?
The biggest thing I am confused about is the reference to using a photo hosting site and uploading your photos from there to the board. Is there some reason I cannot or should not upload photos directly from my own files on my desktop, laptop, phone, etc.? Some privacy issues or some such? Are people able to get personal information by clicking on such photos?
I know everyone used to recommend PhotoBucket, but I understand they charge a fee now. I just haven't reached the point of feeling comfortable with sending my personal info to remote hosting sites, one of them being paranoia about privacy, but another issue being a very slow Internet connection that I can't do anything about.

Seca
I don't know why things are not showing up for you.
Camille posted a reply indicating a method for posting large photos but she said due to my post that I dropped the request due to your concerns that it really was no longer needed. I thanked her for her response as others may be interested in it.

Interesting. I can see this post, but still not those of Camille nor Mountaineer370.

Seca,
I can see Mountaineers post.
I suggest that you sign off and then sign on. Maybe that will correct things. I am signing off now.

Mountaineer,
Posting thumbnail pictures can be done directly at least for me via my iPad Air 2 without use of an external device.
Just edit your post and click on the grey “Manage Attachments” button under the Additional Options section which will take you to a screen, then click on the top button and you should be directed to your photo albums to indicate which photo you want uploaded, finally click upload. Hope this works for your situation. After uploading completed click Close This Window.
Note clicking on the thumbnail within a post enlarges it.
You may have known this but that is not clear at least to me from your post.

Sign on / sign off did not change things. I'll chalk it up to a random database error. It's not the only time this happened. In the Lc. Miss Wonderful thread I can only see the first two posts.
