I think most of us grow Oxalis corniculata. Yes, most grow other stuff.
There is a forum here for things totally unrelated to orchids. It's called Totally Off Topic and is at the bottom of the Forums list.
Ficus elastica is one of the old-time standard house plants. It is easy to grow if you keep it warm and bright. It will grow outside in full sun in Phoenix summer heat and sun.
In the winter, when it isn't so warm and isn't so bright, you should run it almost completely dry, or it is liable to rot in the cool dampness.

Ficus are very temperamental about being moved. They HATE it! They will lose a lot of leaves but regrow new ones. Keep it out of drafts ad let the soil dry out a bit between waterings. Bright light.
Yes, I grow other plants besides orchids...philodendrum, cacti, bromeliade, passion fruit, aromatic herbs, etc.
I also have hundreds of Oxalis. Grow like weed!
About Ficus Elastica... here they grow outside and it is common to see them in gardens with the size of trees (well, they become trees, if we let them).
My parents had one of those tree size in their garden.
