New Leaves and Roots
Default New Leaves and Roots

After repotting, my phal lost one of its leaves and another one is turning yellow. Both were bottom leaves and they were ok before I repotted the plant.
How long does the plant usually take to grow a new leaf?

Phalaenopsis grow more-or-less continuously, but may take a short break after blooming, in my experience.

However, now that it has been repotted, the plant will put its energy into growing new roots that are optimal for the new root zone environment, so be patient.

Thanks for the reply, Ray.

Yes, understand that it is not unusual to lose leaves after repotting, but is it still normal to lose two leaves within a week?

It depends on what they looked like when they fell off. Were they withered and yellow or was there some sort of rot at the base? If you potted too deep the lower leaves could have developed rot.
