Blooms crowding each other?
Hi all. Happy New Year again. Not sure if my pictures show it clearly enough but what I'm seeing with the phalaenopsis blooming here is that the lower branches that are budding are going to crash right into the ones that are opening now. I'm guessing there's nothing I can do about that but just in case I'm wrong...Any thoughts?

Trust the plant... the branches may well extend some more before they open, giving themselves room to put on a show.

You could get a bit of thick card, cut two notches in it and then use it to gently force the branches of the spikes apart.

I hope you're right Roberta. And JC E1, here's some pictures of what I had to do to the same plant. The two spikes were growing up so close to each other that it would have been a mess. I think what you're saying is something along the lines of what I did to the two main spikes.

Look at one of mine, it looks like yours, there are 2 branches that are almost joined, they touch each other, but I let them do what they want. Now they are evacuated in a room because of the low temperatures this week and this season I do not want to put stakes. Greetings.
