Now that you say it, it does look like it could be a roach nymph! The photo isn't very clear and angle not the best, and with the 2 "prongs" at the at the top of the photo and the general shape, it seemed very likely to be an earwig...

The second photo is better. Look at the width of the thorax, the wide squat abdomen, and the short widely spaced cerci (prongs). An earwig would have a much more slender appearance and the cerci would be thinner and not as widely separated. The antennae are also too long for an earwig.

I viewed the photos only on my phone up until now. Switched to the desktop, and I see more detail. That's too fat for an earwig! The OP really needs to get a better photo of this thing, if it's a roach there are far bigger problems than a few nibbled plant parts.

rekos... Welcome to the Orchid Board!

The soaking method will either drown insects or cause them to come to the top of the water, where you can skim them off. I agree it's a roach. I think it's only accidentally in your pot and there are probably relatives in your apartment.
