The water under the pot might help a little, but not much. Rather than stressing about humidity, just make sure that when you water, do it thoroughly - under the faucet, let water run through the pot, then drain before putting it back in the decorative pot.. That pulls moist air into the root zone. As for frequency, impossible to tell from a distance... When it's on the dry side lift the pot and get a feel for the "dry" weight. then after you water, lift it again for the "wet" weight. When the pot starts to feel light, water. Again, if you flush the pot well and let it drain, it's pretty hard to overwater. These plants are water hogs... as long as there is also air around the roots, accomplished by the flushing action.

I would suggest fertilizing "weakly, weekly" - use 1/2 to 1/4 the amount of fertilizer recommended on the bottle. New growth is likely to start at any time, so the plant can definitely utilize the fertilizer.

Hahaha I need verbose since I am just a beginner. The more info the better as long as the info provided by different people is consistent lol. So far it has been
Using a 3 inch pot for miltoniopsis for now. I guess I planted it wrong... put the wrong side in the middle of the pot thinking it’s the new growth lol. Repot it now? As there is no room for new growth? How do I know what growth is newer? Thanks guys for all your help!

No need to rush... wait for a new growth to emerge... it'll be a little pointy thing popping up at the edge of an existing pseudobulb. When it's just emerging is an ideal time to repot anyway (it'll be fine where it is now until that happens). When you repot, don't over-do it. You want the new pot to be big enough for about 2 years' new growth, not more. So just be patient, and the plant will tell you which way it is growing.
