How to insert images in the text section of your threads?

Can anyone tell me how to reliably insert images within the text on a post you create? Ive tried in the past by using Google photos and most users had to copy paste the URL I'm their browser to see them?

I've seen some people use photobucket, whenever people use this what I see is Please update your account to enable 3rd party hosting instead of the image.

The only reliable way I've found is to attach as an attachment, but that makes "story telling" harder to accomplish. I've seen some people show progress over a year of seedling or other projects with text and images all within the post and it worked flawlessly for me..


Any tips?? What service or method can be used to accomplish this?

You need to insert bb code into your post to do that, usually generated on a photo hosting site. Photo bucket no longer allows free photo sharing. Do you use flickr? You can generate bb code for various photo sizes with it.

Otherwise, people here have been experimenting with various sites to generate the code, and this one one came out as the favorite:ImgBB — Upload Image — Free Image Hosting

I've tried that but for some reason many people were saying they couldn't view the images... That was using photos in my google photos, many members needed to copy paste the URL in their browser and then could view the image, which defeats the purpose.

I got my own answer.. as I can't see it myself


[IMG] and [/IMG] doesn't work with Google photos which is where I host everything. I inserted this URL which should work:

I can simply use imgbb or flickr if they work well with this forum, that's fine, just a bit more effort needed then using Google Photos for me.

So no Tapatalk support, no Google Photos support, are we really almost in 2018?? Lol

Use Postimage.org — free image hosting / image upload
Upload the photos without a validity date then copy the direct link and put it between [IMG] [/IMG].

Takes only 30 seconds to put a photo in your post.

If a moderator sees this, can you edit the title of this post to insert IMAGES instead of messages, might help someone who would use the search feature.

You can also do this within the Orchid Board user interface.

When writing your message, click on the Go Advanced grey button below the text entry box. Upload the photo(s) to Orchid Board the normal way. Move the cursor to the place in the message where you want a photo to appear. Click the paperclip icon above the text entry box - it's next to the white smiley face. A list of the photos you uploaded will appear. Select the one you want.
