Default repotting unknown orchid

I am attempting to repot a gift orchid that has grown many new leaves since arriving Dec off 2016. I read up on how to and what to use, bought new orchid specific pots, a bag of "orchid mix " ( thinking new growth meant orchid might need to be divided ) only to find the orchid was rooted in what looks like regular potting soil to my eyes - nothing like the bark medium I was sold.
Now what ??Root ball is wrapped around pretty solidly.

After 5 posts you can post a photo...without one it's difficult to give you advice.

Alternatively, I think you can post a link to a photo uploaded anywhere.

Here ya go: Tips for posting Photos

Scroll down to the second post in this thread, where it says "attach a photo". If your pictures are stored in you computer, this is probably the easiest way to go. Good luck!
