Orchid Pots

Has anyone here ever bought Guy Wolff or Ben Wolff pottery for their orchids or other plants? If you have, are they worth it?

What decorative containers do you use?

I have a Cymbidium growing in a Guy Wolff pot. I just plopped the plant into it because it happened to be the only pot in the garage that fit the plant at the time of transplant--and it saved me a trip to Lowe's. Seems to be a nice and sturdy pot. Can't say that I use any really decorate pots though, as many (if not most) of the clay pots I use tend not to survive the experience when it comes to repotting orchids (I frequently just whack them--the pots, that is--with a hammer to remove the plants). Last summer I did start to experiment with growing aerides and vanda species in clay strawberry containers--the tall cylindrical type that have large diameter holes along the sides. They're working very nicely, and I guess they might qualify as decorative. What kind of orchids are you growing?

I use only clear glass pots with hole in the bottom. Seems to me all have liked it. I think they're decorative enough and also handy when dipping into water; they're heavy enough not to fall in water bucket.

Hello. I'm growing mostly Phals, oncidiums, dendrobiums, a cymbidium and a couple of cattleyas. I pot them in plastic see through slotted pots cause I tend to be overly eager with the watering. So these would be purely for decorative purposes. But, since I'm so anal, I want everything to match. And it has to be something that's not fussy or overly colorful I really don't like terra cotta and the black clay seems to be really nice. (Maria (me) is definitely difficult )

I was just wondering if they are worth the price. I mean, if they are nice, I don't mind paying whatever they cost. I ordered 3 to see. Hmmm....
