Default One happy camper!

I have a NOID phalaenopsis that was in bloom from February until June, and I cut the spike just below the last flower when it started to go by. Almost immediately it grew another Spike off of the old Spike and it's been in flower since early July, and today I find another Spike coming. I did not know that these plants can Spike or send out new spikes while they are still in flower with older spikes. It's a very healthy plant, and a very happy camper

Phals can have multiple spikes indeed! I've seen them with 4, but suspect they can grow even more. That yours is doing this means that you're doing excellent growing!

Sounds like its a happy, healthy plant! With good care there's no reason for a Phal to not throw a new spike even if it's still busy with an old spike.

I have one doing almost the same as yours. About a year ago I cut the 3 spikes just above the lowest node. They stayed green but never did anything, and I never got around to cutting them off. Now it is starting 2 new spikes AND a spike off each of the 3 cut spikes.

Thank you for the compliment! It's kind of funny because when I originally purchased this particular phal, I wasn't really all that crazy about the color of the blooms. They are pristine White with a maroon Center and lip. But I've grown to hugely respected because of its tenacity..

Sometimes it's the plainest/boring plants that end up growing on us and becoming loved because they are amazing in a different way.

Reminds me of a post I saw today in the Dutch Orchid Association FB page, someone posted a photo of a similar Phal (white with pink lip) which is 25 years old and litterally dripping with blooms. I normally wouldn't but one like that, but such a well grown plant is just wow! Maybe yours will look like that if it keeps spiking so well!

I sure hope so Camille! That sounds really gorgeous. But, on another note, I have a beautiful peach colored phalaenopsis that has consistently thrown up double branching spikes every year, but this time so far I see only the nubin of one Spike.
