Hello all. I'm new here and hoping to learn lots and share too!

I've only been growing orchids for about six months now, and I'm hooked in a bad way. I'm a tile contractor, and a customer asked if I'd like a few plants as I'd been telling him how my wife and I like to propagate plants and succulents.
Well, he gave me about six cymbidiums he'd divided from his extensive collections of orchids and ferns, as well as a couple staghorns that he grew from spores!

So, needless to say between those and ANOTHER customer that gave me about eight more(some of which needed dividing!), and a couple orchid shows, plus the "exotic" section of Trader Joe's offerings, I've got about 40 plants now!

I've begun experimenting with branch mounting, and that's great fun and quickly becoming my favorite way to grow!

I hope to learn lots as well as get better at identification.
