Default What did I get myself into?

This noid cym was outgrowing it's pot. I hadn't seen the root system ever since i bought it back in Dec. I figured i would re-pot into a 6" S/H pot using primeagra and the works that i had received yesterday. I'm not quite sure if this pot is big enough to accommodate this root system. I know that i am suppose to be cutting off bad roots, but what about cutting these good roots down a bit to fit this pot? also, what about dividing this plant? is it recommended at this point?

I repoted my cym not too long ago and I remember feeling the same way.
Cyms like to be underpotted, so you're ok. Your roots seam healthy.
I don't think you have enough bulbs to separate just yet, but I could be wrong. I think I read you need 8 or 9 bulbs before you split.

good luck.

Yeah my Cym root system looked the same, your's looks really healthy too. I'm actually a little surprised how well mines doing in S/H. I just put it in maybe a week ago, and it's already opening more leaves. I put it in a 6" s/h pot (deep one), and it's loving it. I wouldn't cut the roots - just try to use a deeper pot to accommodate.

You aren't seeing a reaction to s/h in only a week, just a nice coincidence.

Well last time I repotted that cym into a new bark mixture, it didn't do a thing for about a month, so I put it in S/H. This time in conjunction with putting it into S/H, I put it under my 430w HPS and started feeding it more nutes. Definitely is a combination of all I did for it - it's now rewarding me!

What I meant by the previous post, was that I was expecting it to sulk a little and not show me anything for a while. But it didn't seem to mind the move at all.
