I have one and it has coped with 47C. Basicaly, it is supposed to need a winter rest, but that doesn't mean no water, just no fertiliser.

Orchid Wiz seem like a relly cool thing, but also expensive (well i guess it isn't expensive for the amount of work that went in, but it still is a sum of money)

I believe it will allow you to try for a month before gets blocked.
